The four quadrants formed by the cross arms each contain a small decorative floral motif. The peripheral legend DOMINUS * PROVIDEBIT arcs around the upper portion of the coin between the cable border and the dentilated rim, with the date 1824 positioned in the lower exergual area flanked by small ornamental stops.
