| Obverse description | Central field displays the tripartite cantonal arms of Graubünden, comprising three conjoined oval shields within an ornate cartouche: the dexter shield bearing a black chamois on silver (Graubünden proper), the sinister shield displaying the seated figure of a saint (Chur), and the third bearing the Swiss cross. The cartouche is surmounted by a displayed eagle and decorated with foliate scrollwork at the base. The circumferential legend reads KANTON GRAUBÜNDEN, separated by a dot, running along the upper periphery within a beaded border. |
