Obverse description Three conjoined oval heraldic shields arranged side by side occupy the central field: the left shield bears a lozengy pattern, the central shield (slightly larger and oval) displays a rearing ibex, and the right shield depicts a chamois. Above the shields, two clasped hands emerge from the upper border, symbolizing the confederation of the Three Leagues. The date appears in the exergue below the shields, and the canton name legend runs along the outer periphery.
Obverse script Latin

Reverse description The denomination '1/2' appears at the top of the central field, with the two-line inscription 'SCHWEIZ: BATZEN' below, all enclosed within a wreath of berried laurel branches tied at the base. The wreath is finely rendered with alternating leaf clusters and berry groups, and the entire design is bordered by a raised milled rim.
