Obverse description Papal coat of arms of Innocent XIII occupying the central field, surmounted by the papal tiara and crossed keys of Saint Peter. The shield displays the Conti family heraldic device, rendered in baroque style with elaborate foliate mantling flanking the escutcheon. The inscription identifying the pontiff runs along the upper field. The overall design is characteristic of early eighteenth-century papal coinage struck at the Gubbio mint.
