| 背面描述 | The denomination inscription MEZO / BAIOC / CO is displayed in three lines across the central field, denoting the half baiocco value. The legend is enclosed within a wreath of laurel or olive branches tied at the base, the whole contained within the plain circular border of the flan. The composition is simple and typographically clear, consistent with utilitarian copper coinage of the Papal States. |

Innocent XIII's pontificate lasted just under three years, from 1721 to 1724, and his coinage output was correspondingly thin. Gubbio operated as one of the minor mints within the Papal States, retained largely for regional economic convenience rather than high-volume production, which makes any surviving piece from this reign and mint an inherently scarce item. The baiocco denominations were the workhorses of everyday papal commerce, and copper issues from provincial mints like Gubbio circulated hard.
