The shield bears the heraldic device of the Corsini family. A partial Latin legend surrounds the design, referencing the pontifical numeral and regnal year. The coin's toothed or grained border frames the composition. The overall strike is characteristic of the provincial hammered technique employed at the Gubbio mint. |

Decorative foliate and scroll ornaments fill the field above and below the lettering, consistent with the Baroque aesthetic of Papal States copper coinage. A toothed border encircles the entire design. The absence of figurative imagery is typical of minor billon and copper issues struck at subsidiary Papal mints during this period. |
