| Obverse description | Hammered gold flan bearing a bold thuluth calligraphic inscription filling the entire field in flowing, interlocking strokes. The legend reads 'Abbas zarb nim ruz' (Abbas, struck at Nimruz), rendered in large, sweeping characters characteristic of Safavid royal coin design.
