Obverse description Hammered gold flan bearing a bold thuluth calligraphic inscription filling the entire field in flowing, interlocking strokes. The legend reads 'Abbas zarb nim ruz' (Abbas, struck at Nimruz), rendered in large, sweeping characters characteristic of Safavid royal coin design. The script is arranged in multiple registers across the slightly irregular round flan, with decorative flourishes extending to the rim. The surface shows the characteristic uneven relief of hand-struck coinage, with the deep, confident strokes of the die creating a visually dynamic composition.
