Obverse description The obverse displays the host coin — a British India 1/2 Anna (KM#468) struck under Queen Victoria — bearing a veiled and diademed effigy of Queen Victoria facing left, with the partial legend VICTORIA QUEEN visible around the periphery. Superimposed at center is a circular Qu'aiti countermark approximately 15mm in diameter, incuse-struck, bearing the Arabic inscription of the Munassar authority. The countermark is applied over the portrait area of the host coin, partially obscuring the effigy. The host coin retains its original beaded border, visible at the outer rim.
