| Obverse description | Central field displays the Hijri date 1203 rendered in Eastern Arabic-Indic numerals within a rectangular cartouche framed by a decorative border. The numeral inscription is boldly struck and occupies the majority of the central panel. Floral or foliate ornaments fill the spaces surrounding the cartouche, consistent with the Mughal-derived decorative vocabulary common to late 18th-century Holkar coinage. The overall design follows the standard Maratha-Mughal hybrid style employed at the Indore mint. |
