Reverse description	The heraldic shield of the Company of Merchants Trading to Africa occupies the central field, divided into two quarters: the upper quarter depicts an elephant passant amid stars, and the lower quarter features a three-masted sailing ship under full sail flying the British ensign. The shield is flanked by decorative floral sprigs and surmounted by a crest consisting of a tower topped by an elephant. A circular legend surrounding the design reads 'FREE TRADE TO AFRICA. BY ACT. OF PARLIMENT .1750.' with a pellet stop at the base.
