| Obverse description | Three-line Arabic Shi'a kalima legend arranged across the field, reading the declaration of faith and the acknowledgement of Ali as the guardian of God. The inscription is rendered in bold, flowing naskh script and is contained within a prominent border of raised pellets (pitchfork border) that follows the irregular flan periphery. The legend fills the entire field without any central device, consistent with Zand-era hammered silver coinage. |
