A bar scrip token in note form — Rustic Lanes Bar & Grill in Cadott, Wisconsin issued these as a practical shorthand for prepaid draft beer, almost certainly for use during events, bowling leagues, or banquet packages where running a tab per head was impractical. Cadott is a small town in Chippewa County with a documented tradition of local scrip use tied to supper clubs and tavern leagues. These circulated hard, got wet, and were rarely kept.
