Obverse description Octagonal hammered silver flan bearing a central field divided by a horizontal and vertical line into four quadrants, each containing Assamese script characters. The inscription is boldly struck in raised relief against a flat field, with the script arranged in a cruciform layout typical of Ahom coinage. The lettering fills the entirety of the flan, leaving no decorative border, consistent with the compact utilitarian style of late Ahom kingdom issues.
