Reverse description Reverse of this small octagonal hammered silver coin displays Assamese script arranged in a similar cruciform quadrant layout to the obverse, with raised characters occupying each of the four sections formed by intersecting lines across the field. The inscription references the royal titulature or regnal name associated with Gaurinath Singha, last independently powerful Ahom king. The flan edges show the characteristic irregular hammered outline of hand-struck Ahom coinage of the late eighteenth century.
