| Beschrijving voorzijde | The obverse displays three horizontal lines of Arabic-Nastaliq script arranged across the field, reading the royal legend in the name of Mughal Emperor Alamgir II. The regnal year 1172 (AH) appears prominently at the top of the field above the imperial titles. Decorative dot ornaments flank the inscriptions on both sides, a characteristic feature of Madras Presidency coinage of this series. The design follows the traditional Mughal coin format, with the imperial epithet and monetary designation rendered in bold relief. The flat, unornamented field is typical of the utilitarian milled coinage produced for colonial circulation. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse bears three horizontal lines of Arabic-Nastaliq script filling the field, recording the regnal year and mint name in the traditional Mughal formula. The Arabic numeral 6, denoting the sixth regnal year (RY 6), appears prominently in the upper portion of the field, flanked by dot ornaments. A stylised floral rosette device is visible in the upper left, serving as a privy mark characteristic of the Calcutta Mint's production of Arcot-type coinage. The mint name Arcot (ارڬات) is rendered at the base of the legend, completing the standard Mughal mint formula. Dot separators punctuate the design, consistent with the Madras Presidency milled coinage series. |
