| Reverse description | Central field features a three-line inscription within a beaded inner circle reading XVI / EREIC / HSDA (representing XVI EREICHS DA[LER], denoting the denomination as one-sixteenth of a Reichsdaler), below which appear three pellets. Above the inner circle, a small crown is placed at twelve o'clock. The surrounding outer legend, separated by the beaded border, reads MON·NOV·GLVCKSTAD (or variant spellings) with the mint date incorporated into the legend, identifying this as a new coin of Glückstadt. The overall layout is typical of German-influenced north European hammered silver coinage of the mid-seventeenth century. |
