Obverse description Bare-headed bust of King George V facing left, with short side-whiskers and a neat moustache, rendered in fine relief. The king is depicted in civilian dress with a coat collar visible at the truncation. The peripheral legend reads GEORG V V. G. G. KÖNIG V. HANNOVER, separated by a dotted border. The mint mark B appears below the bust truncation at the bottom of the field. The overall portrait style reflects mid-19th century German medallic engraving.
