Stolberg-Stolberg was a tiny imperial county in the Harz region ruled jointly by co-lords for much of its history, and the 1763–64 dates place this coin squarely in the immediate aftermath of the Seven Years' War — a period when dozens of small German states scrambled to restore depleted silver coinages disrupted by wartime financial chaos.
