Obverse description Central field dominated by the elaborate quartered arms of Saxony and Poland, displayed on a baroque cartouche with ornate scrollwork mantling. The shield, bearing the Polish eagle, the Saxon barry with a crown, and other electoral quarterings, is surmounted by a royal crown. Two lion supporters flank the escutcheon. The mint-master initials FWoF appear in the lower field below the shield. The surrounding legend reads D.G.FRID.CHRIST.PR.POL.ET.SAX., identifying Friedrich Christian by the grace of God as Prince of Poland and Saxony.
