| Obverse description | Central field dominated by the interlaced royal cypher of Gustav IV Adolf — the letters G and A surmounted by the Roman numeral IV — all beneath a large royal crown. Three smaller crowns, the heraldic emblem of Sweden, are positioned at the left, right, and bottom of the field, flanking the monogram. The entire design is set within a toothed or grained border running the full circumference of the coin.
