附加信息

Jersey's Liberation coinage of 1954 marked the tenth anniversary of the island's liberation from German occupation in May 1945 — five years of occupation during which the island's pre-war coinage remained in use alongside a locally printed emergency currency. The 1/12 shilling denomination, peculiar to the Channel Islands, traces its roots to the old Jersey currency system that persisted long after the rest of the British Isles had abandoned such fractions.

KM#20 was struck at the Royal Mint and represents one of the first new Jersey issues bearing the young queen's effigy.
