Obverse description Central field displays the interlaced royal cypher of Carl XIII, consisting of two intertwined 'C' letters surmounted by a large royal crown. The monogram is rendered in bold relief with elegant calligraphic styling. The circular legend surrounds the device near the milled rim, reading the king's personal motto in Swedish. The overall composition is austere and heraldic, consistent with early nineteenth-century Swedish coinage design.
