Victor II Frederick ruled Anhalt-Bernburg for less than a decade before the line merged back into the broader Anhalt territories, making his coinage a short-run series with limited total output across all denominations. The 1/12 Reichsthaler in billon — a debased silver-copper alloy favored by smaller German states unable to sustain full silver coinage — was the workhorse denomination of petty trade in the fragmented principalities of the Holy Roman Empire.
