Obverse description Draped bust of Honoré II, Prince of Monaco, facing right, with long flowing hair and period costume visible at the truncation. The effigy is rendered in the baroque style typical of mid-17th century coinage. A circular Latin legend surrounds the portrait, reading HONORATVS II. D.G. PRIN. MONOECI, separated by stops. The field is plain, and a beaded or toothed border frames the entire design.
