正面描述 Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Leopold I facing right, with the fractional denomination '1/12' positioned beneath the bust. The legend LEOPOLDVS D G R I S A G H B R runs around the periphery, commencing at 12 o'clock. No inner circle is present, leaving the bust in the open field. The portrait follows the characteristic Baroque style associated with Silesian coinage of the period.

附加信息

Leopold I issued this fractional ducat from the Breslau mint during a decade defined by existential pressure on two fronts: the Ottoman siege of Vienna in 1683 and the grinding financial demands of the wars that followed. Silesia's mints were kept active partly to supply the imperial war chest with small-denomination gold convertible across the fragmented currency zones of the Holy Roman Empire.

At under a third of a gram, these pieces were struck for a specific commercial purpose — facilitating fine-value transactions where silver subdivisions were inconvenient and full ducats excessive. The Breslau facility had longstanding expertise in this scale of work, inherited from its earlier role serving Bohemian and Silesian trade networks.
