Reverse description Full frontal seated figure of Lord Buddha in the dhyana (meditation) mudra, depicted in a serene and stylized manner with a pronounced halo or nimbus encircling the head, set centrally within the coin's field. To the left of the figure appears the two-line inscription LORD BUDDHA, and to the right, the Chinese characters 佛陀 (Fótuó, meaning Buddha). The legend 999.9 FINE GOLD arcs along the upper periphery in Latin script, while NEPAL, the Chinese characters 尼泊尔, and ASARFI are arranged along the lower periphery. A beaded border encircles the entire design.
