| Obverse description | Central field features a circular cartouche enclosing the Arabic pious legend invoking divine victory for the Imam, with the accession date rendered in Arabic numerals below within the cartouche. Surrounding the central circle, the Arabic inscription 'God grant him victory' arcs through the field, accompanied by a crescent device at the base. Multiple six-pointed stars are distributed around the inner circle, the number and arrangement of which vary by sub-type (Y#5.1 through Y#5.5). The presence or absence of the phrase 'Rabb al-Alamin' and the word 'Sana' above the date, as well as the size of the circle and form of the crescent, further distinguish the recognized varieties. The entire design is contained within a milled border. |
