| Reverse description | The reverse, engraved by Cecil Moses, presents a full-figure study of a gemsbok in a lowered drinking posture, rendered in frosted high relief against a deeply mirrored dark field accented by stylized wavy lines evoking water or heat shimmer of the Kalahari desert. The animal is depicted in careful anatomical detail, its long straight horns sweeping rearward across the upper field. The word 'NATURA' is repeated in a radiating arc across the upper portion of the field, forming a decorative typographic border.
