Descrizione del dritto	Left-facing bust of Paul Kruger, President of the South African Republic, rendered in high relief with finely detailed beard and period attire including a jacket and cravat. The effigy, originally sculpted by Coert Laurens Steynberg, occupies the majority of the field. The bilingual legend arcs around the periphery, reading 'SUID-AFRIKA' to the left and 'SOUTH AFRICA' to the right, separated at the top by a small lozenge ornament. A finely milled border frames the entire design.

Descrizione del rovescio	A springbok (Antidorcas marsupialis), South Africa's national animal, depicted in full stride to the right across a rocky landscape with sparse native vegetation in the lower field. The denomination '1/10 KRUGERRAND' arcs along the upper periphery, while the mint year is divided on either side of the central device. Along the lower arc appears the bilingual gold content inscription 'FYNGOUD 1/10 OZ FINE GOLD'. The designer's initials 'CLS' appear to the right of the springbok. A finely milled border surrounds the design.
