| Reverse description | The reverse presents a central circular cartouche containing the denomination inscription in Jawi (Arabic-script Malay) and Javanese script, reading 'sepersepuluh rupiah' (one tenth rupiah). The cartouche is enclosed within a raised decorative border composed of repeated lobe or petal-like ornamental elements, forming a stylised floral ring. A six-pointed star ornament appears at the apex of the inner circle. The overall design reflects the bilingual and multicultural character of Dutch colonial coinage intended for the Indonesian archipelago. |
