Aanvullende informatie

Panama has never operated its own mint — every coin in this series was struck under contract at Philadelphia, a arrangement dating to the currency conventions established at independence in 1904. The balboa was pegged at exact parity with the U.S. dollar from the outset, making these small silvers functionally interchangeable with American dimes in daily commerce, which they often were.

The KM#10.1 to 10.2 distinction reflects a modification to the reverse lettering spacing introduced mid-series.
