| Obverse description | Crowned royal cypher occupying the majority of the field, comprising an interlaced 'F' and 'R' monogram in elaborate calligraphic script, standing for Fridericus Rex (Frederick, King). The monogram is surmounted by a large electoral crown with arched top and beaded detailing. The coin bears no peripheral legend; the design is entirely dominated by the crowned cipher against a plain field, with a finely beaded border encircling the rim. |

A six-pointed asterisk ornament flanks the denomination numeral '1 1/2' on either side in the uppermost line. The lettering is bold and roman in style. A beaded border encircles the entire reverse field. |
