| 表面の説明 | Central field depicts an eagle standing atop a rocky outcrop, its wings spread and head turned to the right, grasping a serpent in its talons — a device derived from the arms of the Kingdom of Bohemia. The bird is rendered in high relief with boldly struck feather detail characteristic of early seventeenth-century hammered goldsmith work. A circular Latin legend surrounds the device, reading SALVTEM EX INIMICIS NOSTRIS ('Salvation from our enemies'), a Biblical reference alluding to the coronation occasion. The die work is vigorous and slightly irregular, consistent with Prague mint production of the period. |
