背面描述 The reverse is dominated by a detailed architectural vignette of the Presidential Office Building in Taipei, rendered in fine intaglio line engraving in blue-grey tones against a multicolour guilloche background. Red overprints reading 金門 appear on either side of the central vignette, reaffirming the note's restricted Kinmen circulation status. The denomination 壹仟圓 is displayed in large characters at the bottom centre, with the date inscription 中華民國七十年製版 printed below the building, and the numeral 1000 appearing in the lower right corner.

备注

The Bank of Taiwan's 1,000 Yuan note from 1981 was issued under the long-running Republic of China currency system that has operated parallel to — and deliberately distinct from — the People's Republic's renminbi since 1949. The Central Engraving and Printing Plant in Taipei, which handles both banknote and stamp production for the ROC, printed this series entirely domestically, a capacity Taiwan had worked to develop rather than rely on foreign security printers.

The watermark remains the sole listed security feature, modest by the standards of high-denomination notes from that period.
