备注

Banco de la República was Colombia's pre-central-bank note issuer — a private institution granted official status, operating before the Banco de la República established in 1923 replaced it entirely. The 1907 date places this note in a particularly unstable monetary moment: Colombia had only recently emerged from the Thousand Days War (1899–1902), a civil conflict that had devastated the economy and triggered catastrophic peso inflation, with the currency effectively worthless for years afterward.

At the 1,000 peso denomination, practical circulation would have been limited to large commercial transactions. Notes of this value from this period rarely survived in numbers.
