备注

Thyssen & Co. issued this emergency currency — Notgeld — during the hyperinflationary spiral of 1922, when Reichsbank notes were losing value faster than they could be printed and large industrial firms across the Ruhr began paying wages in their own paper. For a steel and mining conglomerate with thousands of workers on weekly payroll, the practical calculus was straightforward: issue your own notes or watch your workforce dissolve.

The DeNG 9#995.2 reference places this within the documented Notgeld issues catalogued by Dießner — not always easy to pin down precisely, given how many Ruhr industrial issuers produced multiple closely related types in 1922.
