Beschrijving voorzijde	Intaglio portrait of František Palacký, the eminent Czech historian and political figure, occupies the right portion of the note, with his name inscribed below. The left field carries the issuer monogram ČNB, the denomination numeral 1000 in large digits at upper left, and the text TISÍC KORUN ČESKÝCH across the centre, all set against a multicolour guilloche underprint incorporating a stylised tree vignette in pink and green tones. The issuing authority inscription ČESKÁ NÁRODNÍ BANKA and the year 2008 appear in the lower centre field.

Beschrijving keerzijde	The reverse is dominated by a large intaglio vignette of a stylised eagle with outstretched wings rendered in violet and blue tones, occupying the left and central fields over an architectural arcade underprint. To the right, a composite coat of arms of the Czech Republic is shown in a vertical panel alongside the denomination numeral 1000 repeated in violet. The serial number is printed twice in the lower portion of the note, and a large latent-image letter P appears at the lower right.
