Opmerkingen

P#35F belongs to a series issued under German occupation, when the Narodna Banka Kraljevine Jugoslavije — the National Bank of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia — continued operating in a deeply compromised form after the Axis dismemberment of the country in April 1941. Notes bearing the royal institution's name were still produced and circulated even as the kingdom itself had ceased to function as an independent state.

The 1943 dating places this note in the occupation economy, where Serbian territory was administered under a German-controlled puppet government. High-denomination notes like this thousand-dinar piece fed an inflationary spiral driven by occupation costs extracted from the local population.
