Obverse description Green intaglio-printed note centred on a portrait vignette of young King Peter II of Yugoslavia in a suit and tie, set within an ornate oval frame flanked by guilloche panels and decorative scrollwork. The denomination 1000 appears in numeral form at all four corners and in an underprint cartouche to the left of the portrait. Red SPECIMEN overprints appear diagonally across the face, with two cancellation punch holes at the lower centre; Cyrillic inscriptions of the bank name and country title run across the upper portion, with signature lines and official designations in the lower margins.

Reverse description Printed in deep blue intaglio, the reverse is dominated by a wide panoramic vignette of the Adriatic coastline, with rugged mountainous terrain and a coastal inlet rendered in fine engraved detail. The denomination 1000 appears in numerals at the lower left and right corners, with the title inscription КРАЉЕВИНА ЈУГОСЛАВИЈА across the top and ХИЉАДУ ДИНАРА along the lower border within a plain rectangular frame. Two cancellation punch holes are visible at the lower centre of the design.
