An ornamental rosette vignette is centred at the top and bottom margins, with additional smaller rosette medallions at the left and right edges. The text identifies the issuer as 'Rheinisches Braunkohlen-Syndikat G.m.b.H. in Köln' above the large bold denomination legend 'EINE MILLION MARK', beneath which the redemption conditions and the date 'Köln, den 1. August 1923' are set in smaller letterpress type. The series designation 'Serie C' appears at the upper left and a serial number at the upper right, with two manuscript signatures of company officials below the issuer's printed name. |

The denomination numeral '1000000' is set in very large open outline figures at the centre of the field, flanked by ornamental rosette medallions at both lateral margins. The issuer name 'Rheinisches Braunkohlen-Syndikat' appears in bold letterpress above the numeral, while the legal form legend 'Gesellschaft mit beschränkter Haftung in Köln' is set below it.
