| Obverse description | Plain cream paper ground printed entirely in dark green, with a simple guilloche border framing the text. The issuing authority's circular blind-stamp vignette of the German Imperial Eagle appears at left, and the large gothic-script denomination "1 000 000 Mark" occupies the centre, with a text block below stating the note's validity period and acceptance conditions across all railway cashier offices of the Reichsbahndirektion district. The date "Altona, 8. August 1923" and the issuer's designation "Reichsbahndirektion" appear above two manuscript signatures, with the printer's imprint "Chr. Adolff, Altona-Otensen" at the foot. |
