Obverse description Teal letterpress on cream paper, centred on an oval vignette of two allegorical putti flanking a large basket borne aloft by a spread-winged eagle; the denomination EINE MILLION MARK is set in a rectangular cartouche at centre. The serial number appears at upper right, with the word GUTSCHEIN at upper left. A text panel below the vignette carries the payment clause and is signed and dated 15. August 1923 by the Reichsverkehrsministerium Zweigstelle Bayern.

Reverse description Printed in teal on cream paper, the reverse carries a central vignette of the Bavarian coat of arms surmounting a railway bridge scene, framed within an ornamental cartouche.
