Flanking the central scene are two shield-shaped cartouches bearing the denomination "100 Mark" and the date "30.6. 1628", embellished with ribbons, crossed cannon, cannonballs, and chains. At the lower centre, a circular red seal of the city of Stralsund — inscribed "SIGILLUM CIVITATIS STRALESSUNDIS" — anchors the composition, while defiant historical quotations in Low German blackletter script are inscribed in the upper corners. |
