The denomination 'Eine Million Mark' is set in large Gothic blackletter type across the centre, above a block of explanatory text in German noting acceptance by Aachener Grossbanken and the Bank-Verein in Herzogenrath, with issuance date 'Herzogenrath, den 12. August 1923' below. The upper field carries the series designation 'Lit. A' at left and serial number at right, with a green guilloche underprint vignette visible behind the central text block, and the issuer's manuscript signatures in red-violet ink at the foot. |
