| Beschrijving voorzijde | The obverse is printed in dark grey-brown on a light ground, with a dense guilloche underprint filling the central panel. The denomination "Eine Million Mark" is set in large Gothic blackletter type across the centre, above a three-paragraph redemption clause in smaller Fraktur script. The header reads "Gutschein über 1 000 000 Mark." followed by the issuing date "Mülheim-Ruhr, den 6. August 1923", the issuer name and subdivision, and the series letter "C" at lower left; the left margin carries a vertical ornamental strip with the red-printed serial number prefix and two manuscript signatures appear at lower right. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse is printed entirely in a muted grey-blue tone and consists of a fine guilloche lattice underprint covering the full field within a rectangular border. A large numeral "1000000" in ornate outline figures, each digit infilled with delicate scrollwork, is centred in the upper half of the note against the continuous guilloche ground; the lower portion of the field is otherwise unlettered. |
