The body text in Kurrent-style script sets out the payment obligation of the Stadtgemeinde Freiburg i. Br., dated 25 August 1923 and countersigned on behalf of the city council by the Oberbürgermeister, with a small circular official dry stamp at lower right. An anti-counterfeiting warning in roman type runs along the lower margin. |

The vignette sits within a double-ruled frame flanked by geometric decorative borders, with "Eine Million Mark" in blackletter script along the left vertical margin and the numeral "1000000" in small text above and below the central image. The designer's credit "P.H. HÜBNER" appears at the lower right of the vignette. |
