| Obverse description | Green and brown Jugendstil-style note with a central vignette of an enthroned allegorical female figure — personifying the city — seated before a Gothic canopied throne, holding a sceptre and a shield emblazoned with fleurs-de-lis. The denomination "1000000 Mark" is set in large brown numerals on either side of the central vignette beneath a guilloche arch, with the issuing authority "Gutschein der Stadt Wiesbaden" in Gothic blackletter across the top.
