The central denomination, `EINE MILLION MARK`, is prominently displayed in a large red and black font. In the middle of the note is a stylized drawing of a city with two towers, similar to the coat of arms of Itzehoe, floating above clouds. Below this, a large, stylized eye is shown at the center, with a single tear of red ink dripping from it. The eye is surrounded by radiating lines and clouds. Below the eye, several small, stylized figures are depicted praying next to red numerals that make up the `1.000.000` denomination.
