No Canadian bank or government authority has ever issued a one-million-dollar denomination for circulation. This is a novelty or souvenir item — produced commercially, not by the Bank of Canada or any Crown agency. The signatures of D. Blais and T. Lamoureux do not correspond to any recorded Bank of Canada officer series for the year 2000, which ran under Thiessen/Knight and then Dodge/Knight appointments.
Catalog inclusion here is for reference only. It has no legal tender status and no monetary value beyond whatever the novelty market bears.
